IN MEMORIAM

GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN !

The men herein worked at giving medical aid to their fellow men until they themselves gave their lives to help another. Their deed may not be recorded in formal history, but they will continue to live in the minds of those with whom they lived, whose wounds they healed, whose lives they saved. These men have earned the Kingdom Of Heaven.

Corporal William R. Anderson 37378756 Plato, Missouri Killed in action 8 April 1945 while in contact with the enemy in Werl, Germany.

Private Charlie W. Shrum 35492509 Russellville, Kentucky Killed in action 2 April 1945 while in contact with the enemy in Neuhaus, Germany.

This book is dedicated to the two men of this detachment who valiantly made the supreme sacrifice while serving their country. Their memory is commemorated by their undying devotion to duty. Their names will be put into history among the many others of the Medical Department, who gave their lives while trying to save the lives of their fellow men. With all due respect and condolences, this book is so dedicated.
