1. INSPECTIONS:

    Organization inspections were made at various times throughout the period concerning maintenance of vehicles, weapons, equipment, etc. There was also an inspection of the personnel records of the battalion by the Inspector General of the Division.

The difference in assigned personnel and effective strength of the battalion on various dates was due to men going to Paris on pass, men being evacuated to the 78th Medical Battalion Clearing Station, men on furlough to the United Kingdon, battle casualties, transfers within the Division, and reinforcements being received.
