1.   a.

Enemy is believed to occupy a line K757680 - K76357 - K780850. Composition of line is unknown but the 6th Co., Regt Hubner held part of front on 21 Feb 45. However, effect of relief of this unit was believed to be in progress. (PW report 22 Feb 45) Line is believed to be held by three (3) Co's Hubner, 1st, 5th & 6th Co's supported by 8th Co. Estimated company strength 60 men. 1st Co in vicinity of 757868, 5th Co 780850, 6th Co 763857. 6th Co has 6 lmg's, 3 42's and 3 15's. 8th Co in support with mortars and 7.5 AT gun.

2.   a.

The 8th Armd Div plus attachments will support by fire and attack by XVI Corp in vicinity of Heinsberg.

  b.

The 58th Armd Inf Bn plus attachments will assist the support of this attack in vicinity of Linne, Aandenbere, & Montfort.

3.   a.

81mm Mortar platoon will engage observed and known enemy targets after daylight hours from positions in the vicinity of Aandenberg. The remaining half of the mortar platoon in the vicinity of Aandenberg will fire into the known enemy positions on the island between the hours of 0300 and 0400.

  b.

AG platoon of Hq Co will support in vicinity of Aandenberg and will engage enemy targets shown on attached overlay.

  c.

Attached TD's and tanks will fire on targets of opportunity and suspected locations of enemy and into sectors and positions indicated on overlay during daylight hours.

  d.

A, B, & C Co's will fire intradictory machine gun fire with a section of HMG's during daylight hours on suspected and known enemy positions.

  e.

45 minute preparation to be fired by artillery and AG platoon beginning 230245 Feb 45. Following preparation fire will be continued intermittently until 231000 Feb 45.

4.   a.

Supply, evacuation, traffic, service troops, trains, personnel, aid station and axis of evacuation: Same.

5.   a.

Radio Silence until 0330, at which time all radio's will report into battalion net.

  b.

CP: Same location.
