2-3 Feb 45 - Move by motor convoy to vicinity VALKENBURG, Holland with 304 vehicles, 817 EM and 44 officers, 2 WO's, a distance of 226 miles, closing in billets by 1400 3 Feb 45.
4-6 Feb 45 - Preparations & training for combat in vicinity of VALKENBURG. C & D Troops made rte rcn to towns of SITTARD, Holland and GEILENKIRCHEN, Germany for possible counteroffensive plans. CO's A & B Troops contacted commands. Remainder of Sq continued training and preparation for combat vicinity of VALKENBURG, Holland.
7 Feb 45 - "B" Troop attached to CCB. Remainder of Sq in training and preparation for combat.
8-15 Feb 45 - "B" Troop unchanged. Sq less Troop "B" continued reconnaissance of possible routes leading to north, east, and south for plan concerning both counteroffensive and offensive action. Training continuous in preparing for combat especially covering terrain studies, map reading, dismounted action, communication procedure and aircraft identification.
16 Feb 45 - "C" Troop attached to CCR. Remainder Sq continued training and preparation for combat.
17-18 Feb 45 - Sq (less B & C Troops) training & preparation for combat, and move.
19 Feb 45 - Sq (less B & C Troops) left vicinity of VALKENBURG, Holland at 1300 and closed in vicinity of OHEE, Holland at 1700.
20-22 Feb - 45 Sq (less B & C Troops) training & preparation for combat vicinity of OHEE, Holland.
23 Feb 45 - "E" Troop went up to front vicinity of LINNE, Holland and fired 1000 rds on training missions. 1 plat of "F" Co to British 7 AD to instruct M-24 tanks. Remainder Sq (less B & C Troops) training and preparation for combat.
24 Feb 45 - Training and preparation for combat.
25 Feb 45 - "E" Troop attached to Div Arty - D Tr attached to CCR. F Co (-3d plat) went to front to fire training missions for day. "A" Tr attached to CCR.
26 Feb 45 Sq, now minus, A, B, C, D, E Troops & 1 plat of F Co. remained in present position.
27 Feb 45 - 1 Tank of F Co reported to vicinity of GULPEN, Holland for identification training purpose. "A" Troop returned to Sq control at 1000, but was attached shortly thereafter to "CCA". "D" & "E" Troops returned to Sq at 1400. 1 plat of "F" Co returned to Sq control from British 7th A.D. At 1800, Sq, minus A, B, C Troops left vicinity of OHEE, Holland to march to GOLKRATH, Germany via SUSTERN, SITTARD, GEILENKIRCHEN, HILFARTH.
28 Feb 45 - Sq closed to Golkrath, Germany at 1200. Billeted troops and prepared for further action.
