AFTER ACTION REPORT
OB TEAM NO. 70

30 April 1945

Early in April while the division was deployed in the elimination of the Ruhr pocket estimated enemy desposition and strength of the encircled enemy forces was dissiminated to our lower units including overlay showing their respective positions. From translation of documents movements and intentions of the 116th Pz Div. could be traced.

When it was disclosed that the 8th Amored Division would move eastward a complete list of training and replacement units in Wehrkreis XI (Hannover) and Wehrkreis III (Berlin-Brandenburg) was dissiminated which served to clear up the confused enemy OB situation involving a vast variety of such units.

During the mopping up period of the Harz mountains a careful study of the Last Wave German divisions in dwindling Germany was published in connection with a complete enemy OB situation map of German forces on Western and Eastern fronts.

To enlighten our troops about conditions in Germany for the task of occupation a brief informational article was written on the Nazi Government and Party (NSDAP) and all its military and para-military organizations.

During the entire period assistance was furnished to IPW and CIC teams at division headquarters.

For the last ten days of the month the entire OB team has been detached to work under the 508th CIC Det. of this division and has performed its duties accordingly.
