During the period covered by this report Hq CCR billeted near and moved with the 58th Armd Inf Battalion. |
Section II |
| |
Movement during the period 1 -31 January 1945 was greatly hampered by icy road conditions. Wedge extensions were tried but did not completely solve this problem. It is suggested that in future movements wherever tactically possible serials should be composed of vehicles having the same capabilities of speed. If this were done total road space of armored columns could be reduced as could the actual time of movement for major portions of this column. |
